Below is the placement question paper pattern and the interview questions / tips for Dell Mohali Technical Support executives and customer care voice process job test.
There are five rounds. All the rounds are designed to be elimination rounds.
The main HR interview questions:
1.INTRODUCTION – This wil be a 15 minutes or 10 minutes round depending on the interviewer choice . the interviewer can ask you following questions:
Please note that the interview is mostly to test the general intelligence, English Proficiency and personality of the candidate. This is the view of the most candidates who take the customer care executives test.
a.Tell me something about yourself
Be prepared to answer lots of questions about your hobbies. For example if you mentioned that you like reading books, then there may be an array of questions related to that. So be prepared and mention you hobbies carefully. Also tell them honestly and confidently about what you have written and why you have written that.
b. Why did you leave your previous company (if you are working and not a fresher)
-Whatever be the reason of quiting the previous company, dont give any negative reason. Just give a reason like Location advantage, Willingness to work in your domain of expertise so that you can contribute better and make better use of your abilities. These are just to mention a few. In case you want to join technical support say “Sir, i have an aptitude for computers. I always wanted to be in a technical support line. I can make better use of my tech savvy skills.”
c. What is the reason that you want to join dell?
Answer- Dell is a captive call centre of the multibillion dollar company Dell. It is a great brand name. I will have excellent growth opportunities here. Its the proud feeling of being associated with such a brand. And i know a lot about the great working environment of Dell. (just like this you have to praise the company but dont seem like you have learnt the lines)
d. Tell me about an experience with an irritated customer.
You may be subject to situational short tests in the Dell HR interview. Such questions may be answered keeping in mind that you have to provide best service to the customer.
The following questions are sometimes asked for people who apply for technical support positions. Dont try to be too smart just speak of the things you know. Dont say that you dont have knowledge about a particular thing. prepare well for the position.
Some Dell technical support position questions:
a. Can you tell me the configuration of your computer? (for tech support positions)
b. What is UPS? (uniterrupted power supply)
c. Why do we use a heat sink in the computer?
d. Have basic knowledge about dell. Read the dell company profile and paper pattern.
e. What do you know about dell?
2. Dell GROUP DISCUSSION Rounds and Questions:
In the dell group discussion GD round, your interview will be taken again by some person for 15 minutes. YOur confidence level is assessed in a group. Keep smiling during the interivew and the gd round. The questions may be like you may have to sum up the discussion on the GD topic. Or a particular question about the topic.
NOTE- They check your english language accent. There should be no mother tongue influence in it as you have to predominantly serve the American and European customers. you should also be prepared to get a check on your grammar skills. Good luck.
