Here is the SUN multinational employment exam question paper pattern:
There are 60 questions - 60 marks
All are multiple choice questions / objective questions in the sun placement test
There is negative marking in the test. (0.5 or 50%)
Test Question Paper Pattern / Style:
The test is divided into:
Section 1 : Operating Systems 20 questions
Section 2 : Technical Programming 25 questions
Section 3 : Aptitude 15 Questions
Operating Systems:
The important topics are the unix commands and basic networking concepts like DHCP, Dynamic NAT, RARP, ARP, UDP, DNS. Unix : Grep, sed, basic perl program whose o/p is to be predicted. Pipes.
Section 2 : Programming part questions / important topics:
C language and Java programs. Programs were on topics like Fork, PID, Basic C syntax, Basics of Java, Exception handling, Inheritance, Strings, Cast conversion, Object linking etc
