First you have to fill up a simple form.
There were 2 interviewers. I will denote them by M1 and M2. This TCS tech Interview was mostly project based interview. Here are the questions:
M2: What is the difference between DBMS and RDBMS? Give the major difference between the two.
M1: how many types of relationship??? Example of many-to-many relationship???
M1: What is the relationship between a foreign and primary key? What do u know about a Smart key?
M2: Give an example of left outer join?
M2: What is a Recursive join?
M2: why have u used access instead of oracle in yr project???
M1: What are the different types of DBMS? Give an example of each.
M1: Where do u see yourself in the next 5 yrs? How do u plan to achieve that?
M2: what is software configuration management?
M1: Why Level 5 CMM?
M1: Can u tell about any benefit of spiral model over others?

Be confident when you explain a program or any other concept.
Have basic knowledge of DBMS (database), Data structures DS, Operating System OS, Software Development, Object oriented Language OOPS Concepts knowledge
Have good knowledge of Languages like C and C++
Its not necessary that they ask questions only about your favorite topics. They can ask questions about any relevant ones as they desire. So you have to prepare well.
TCS HR Interview Questions:
Again there are two persons M1 and M2. My hr interview was mixture of discussion, friendly chat, hr, management interview and technical.
M1: What is your name? What is the meaning of your name?
M1 How have you prepared about this interview?
M2: Can u guess who among us is from HR and who’s from Tech side?
M1: Tell us any site where you can get the TCS Placement papers?
M2: what is your zodiac sign? What are its characteristics?
M2: Do u have a girlfriend?
I: Yes I have lots of boy and girl friends. I treat them as good friends.
M2: Will you marry your girl friend???
I: I am only 23. I want to give my spouse all comforts of life that’s why I will marry after achieving all pleasures and comforts of life!!!!!!!!!!!!
M2: Do u want her to be from IT Industry? Do u want her to cook food for you?
You can never know what they want to hear from you when they ask such questions. They usually test a lot of qualities in candidates – their patience, communication skills, general understanding, etc.
Then there are some technical.
M1: About bubblesort. Derive complexity.
M1: Complexity of quick sort.
M1. What is insertion sort?
M1: Derive expression of a binary tree. What is its height?
M1: Recursive function? Example.
M1: Circular linked list. Its disadvantage and where we use it?
M1: What are your hobbies?
Then a question about hobbies. Be careful about your hobbies.
M2: How can u contribute to TCS? Career objectives?
M1: Are you ready to sign a bond now?
M2: Did you appear for any other companies?
M1: Do you have any other questions?
I: Ask some questions to the interviewers to show your keenness to join the organization. Also to show that you are very excited about your job and will do very well.
Some general Important Tips for your TCS and Other IT Companies’ Technical and HR Interviews:
First of all prepare well for the aptitude test by studying whole of RS Aggarwal, a bit of Baron’s GRE and previous Placement Papers HERE.
Have the right attitude.
Go to the interview in a proper Dress. This really matters. Wear good formals.
Maintain your eye contact and positive attitude in the interview.
When undergoing an interview process, Show that you are friendly, cooperative and patient.
You must have good communication skill and good general knowledge. Better prepare for these.
The mental ability, IQ and other psychological things are tested in the HR and Tech interviews. Stay cool but serious.
