Its a combined Technical HR Interview.

 

They asked me about my favorite subject and i said its networking.

Now the questions they asked are: Technical Topics:

 

1: What is a Network?

2: Whats the difference between OSI nd TCP/IP

3:  Difference between Switches, Bridges and Routers. Which of these is better nd why?

4: Difference between LAN and WAN

5: Whats the function of Session layer

6: capacitance of coaxial cabel

7: Tell about the Demorgans law

8: Maxwell equation (i just dont know why they were asking physics questions!)

9: Shenon’s equation

10: Define S/N

12: AM, FM, PM  (amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, phase modulation)

13: Why clock is required and what is synchronisation?

 14: Define an Amplifier. What are the different types of amplifiers?

 

Some other candidates were asked questions about the communication and electronics topics - GSM, Mobile Communication,  Satellite communication,  Filters etc.  But the questions asked are basic.

 

Prepare one subject well. After the tech interview there was the HR questions..
