The vsnl written test duration was one and half hours.

There were two sections:
1)Technical Questions Section
2)General aptitude section
Technical Section:
The alloted time was 1 hour. There were 50 questions.
There is no negative marking
The technical topics: Questions were from: (this is for b.tech ece – electronics and communication engineering branch students) it was different for cse – computer science and others.

Control systems
Microprocessor
DSP – Digital Signal Processing
Electrical Circuits problems
Few questions from the C programming language
Questions wrere basic and they vary from branch to branch.
VSNL APTIUDE Section:
Ihad 37 questions in the aptitude section: no. varies a bit for others.

Fractions – calculations on fractions in the aptitude questions – see sample in RS book.

Cubes
Clock – time, speed, position, angle finding question
Probability – mathematics quesitons – can be found from RS Aggarwal book questions
Profit and loss - simple maths
