Here is the CUMMINS India Placement Paper held at College of Engineering Bhubaneshwar, Orissa on 4th May

Cummins (engines) generator technology is a Tata group of companies. 400-450 students from different colleges participated in this off campus placement drive. It was only for the B.tech mechanical engineering – ME and electrical – ee branch students. 17 students cleared the written test – multiple choice type test.

After that we had the GD or group discussion round in which 8 students were selected.

Then we were told to prepare for interview. That day only 2 students faced the interview. On the next day, i had heard from others so i was more prepared.
Cummins Interview Questions: (Technical)
He asked about me first.
Then he asked about my favorites. I said thermodynamics, IC engines and refrigeration.
He asked about the processes of manufacturing science.
What is the difference between welding and brazing?
What is forward stroke cutting?
He also asked about my project and my seminar. few questions on it.

Then the HR Interview goes on. The lady asked why you want to join this company and not your father’s business. Where do you want to be located.
Just a couple more basic HR Interview questions and it was over.
Finally 3 persons were selected when the result was announced.
