Here is the HCL India placement paper pattern and Interview on 26th July at Vishakhapatam.

This is the HCL off campus placement test held in Andhra University Visakhapatnam. I am from Mechanical background and HCL has huge requirements in Mech field. There were only three rounds

1. Written exam
2. Technical Interview
3. HR Interview

Written Exam:

There were 35 aptitude questions in the paper. (1mark each there was -ve marking of 0.5 marks) Technical test (40 questions no negative marking) There was a separate technical question paper for the mechanical engineering candidates. The time was 90 minutes. Both the technical and aptitude question papers were given at the beginning.

Aptitude paper:
It consisted of 4 sections.
First section had some data interpretation type questions (1-12 Questions)

There were two sets of questions having 5 questions each which are of cat model (though not as hard as CAT).
There are quantitative questions related to time and distance, time and work, numbers, etc.
Third and fourth sections had verbal question similar to CAT like para jumbles, sentence corrections, etc,

HCL Technical Section:
The mechanical engineering related technical test section had the theory questions like SM, Thermal, TOM, Mechanics, etc

Technical Interview:

I was asked questions related to my mechanical branch. The questions were based on topics like Engineering Drawing, Strength of materials and thermal topics. Sub topics like like drawing front view, top view and side view, isometric view etc.

HR Interview round:

The hcl hr interview is simple once you have cleared the tech interview. No one is rejected in this round. good luck.. see u at hcl
