Here is the HCL Employment test and candidate experiences for the campus test held at UC College at Alwaye in Kerala on 5th August year 2006.

The hcl technologies test was conducted by the SHREDSKERALA at Alwaye UC college.

HCL test pattern:

Following is the break up of the hcl placement paper.
1) C language 20 questions
2) C++ 20 questions
3) General computer awareness 10 questions
4) SQL 10 questions
5) Aptitude 20 questions

There was no negative Marking in the test. The test is a bit difficult for non computer / IT stream students. C language, C++ and SQL basic are required.

You should prepare the RS Aggarwal Quantitative aptitude sections. For ece students, the paper seemed to be a bit tough. But it can be cleared if you plan good. The c programming language part should be done well.

The interview was held the next day at hotel Avenue Regent .

The technical interview part: He asked a lot of my branch ece related questions in the interview.
