HCL Placement test held on 10th April 2007 at Karunya Universiy Coimbatore

There were three rounds
First Round : Apptitude
35 questions (1 hour) 20 technical (15 minutes)

The main topics for apptitude and technical test are:
Apps, logical reasoning, Data interpretation/sufficiency, Technical, microprocessor, memory arrangement, c language, memory management, algorithm stuff etc.

Second Round: Technical HR interview

say something about yourself.
explained about the college.
About myself.
Hobbies
Favorite subjects – he asked to tell something in which i could answer any question.
Then he asked me to give a concept for a c language program to match two numbers in an array.
I was asked to write a c code for finding odd numbers in a sequence.

Third Round: HR Interview
Since there were too many people selected for HR interview, they made the HR round as GD.
There were 10 people in my round.
We were asked to suggest a topic.
The topic came out to be “is gd really necessary”
Later the topic was changed to ” Is Technical Interview necessary?

I gave a point and finally spoke something in the conclusion.
The results were declared the next day. Thank god i was selected by hcl.
So just be prepared for the apptitude – aptitude part and have youself ready for answering questions in the interviews, group discussion round. See previous hcl papers and other related IT placement exam / test sample technical questions.
