Hi friends. Hcl came for campus recruitment test on 9th July. It was my first ever employment test. I read all the previous hcl and other IT papers here before the test.
HCL Placement Paper Pattern:
There are two rounds:
General aptitude + Technical Test
HR Round
hcl changes the pattern often for different colleges. It was an online test. There were 80 questions and time allowed was 60 minutes.
There were 4 section each of 15 minutes. Its not verbal and quantitative its something different!
There were Data interpretation type questions, match the correct grammar and match the correct ones. Data interpretation is very easy and it is not mathematical – math type. There are english grammar related question in the hcl paper like making spelling, commas, corrections in the given test.
Eg:- consultant, consultant, consultant etc….
Its not difficult. You can do it easily with a little practise before.

Two statements will be given you have to check whether both match or not

In the online test you have to do the questions as they appear on the screen. If you skip, you cant do it later and you cant change anything. There are about 15 minutes for 20 questions for each section. So time is short here.
Technical:-
Its related to c language programs and questions.
The most important concepts of c language are:
Structures
Pointers
Expressions
You can see C programming language Sample problems like you have to correct the errors in the given programs or you have to find out the errors.
Out of more than 350 persons 148 cleared it
Next is the Hcl HR Interview round:
The hr interview does not seem to be difficult but they see certain qualities like good communication skills, confidence, etc. in you. They judge you in the hr round.
So after the final hr interview, only 45 were selected out of 148.
