SUBEX Test Paper at Kochi, Kerala on 20th May 2007

Here is the Rajgiri college, kochi campus placement paper for Subex. I am giving the selection procedure and pattern. First there is aptitude test, prepare C language basics especially Pointers. And be prepared to write full programs mostly based on File handling. Read command line arguments, reversing words in file, selecting all words with Capital letters in a file etc. After writing the program write comments which is a good practise to explain your approach even if there is a mistake. After the aptitude you wil have to go through 3 interviews.

1) Technical Interview: Different panels ask questions. They ask to rate yourself in all subjects like C CPP OS DBMS DS etc. Then they ask questions from each topic.

Sample tech interview questions:
What are diff modules in OS?
Write a program to implement queue suing pop() and push() functions of stack?
Write programs using files, etc.
Scheduling Algorithm in OS etc.
How can we implement concepts of private public protected in C?
(using structures. if we define a member as extern it will be …. normal members are accessible within that file only. so its private only)
These were basic questions.

2) Another technical interview.
Its a bit tough.
Sample questions:
About difference looping, branching statements, differences between continue break goto etc.
Sample codes will be given and we have to write output.
Classes, objects, OOP concepts, Polymorphism, program using virtual functions, pointers, etc.
Questions from electronics also were asked to CS – computer science students. Like half adder, full adder, karnough maps (k maps), etc.
Explain private, public and protected classes.
Explain Inheritance and few more questions.

3. Subex HR Interview Round:
If you have cleared 2 tech rounds, you are almost there. You reject someone rarely from the HR.
What all business subex has?
Why Subex?
What are the things which attracted you to software and subex?
Asked a question from the ppt. so be careful about that.

Note: Subex acquired syndesis which is much larger in size.

Then he asked about the software development cycle.
Then asked whats the difference between a software application company and software product company?
About parents, family background, etc.
