Here is the placement paper pattern and questions of Sony India test held on 29th May 2008 at Bangalore.

The eligibility for the test is as follows:

Freshers and persons with upto 2 years experience can apply.

BE / ME / Diploma holders can apply.

The percentage should be above 70% aggregate. 70% in 10th and +2 also.

No backlogs in degree.

There is an online test.

All the marksheets and papers are verified.

The first test section is Aptitude section:

There are two parts of the aptitude section:

Analytical and Logical Reasoning + English (Verbal)
All questions are multiple choice type questions. There is no negative marking.
The time allowed is 30 minutes.

Most are RS Aggarwal questions. (both verbal and non verbal)

Around 2000 persons took the test. Those who clear the first round have a second Technical test round. We have to choose C or C++ with networking or C++ with data structuers or Java.

For C++ with networking, there were 20 questions.

There were 3 programs in the 20 questions. Around 10 questions were from C++ programming language and 10 were related to networking concepts.

Those who clear the Sony India technical written test round, there are technical and hr interviews afterwards. The selection here is quite difficult. The number of applicants is also high. You need to prepare good not only for written test but also for the interviews. Good Luck!
