Below is the all India exam held by 3i Infotech on 28th January at Indore.
The all india 3i Infotech exam for software trainee was held on 28th January 2007. It was a paid exam and the fee was Rs. 1500.
The written question paper was set by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selections, Mumbai.
Aptitude Written Test
The aptitude written test consists of 90 minutes and there are 150 questions in it. It consists of three sections.
Section-1 English Language Ability (50 questions)
Section-2 Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions)
Section-3 Logical Reasoning (50 questions)
There is also a sectional cut off and the negative marking for the exam as usual for other 3i infotech exams is 0.25.
Aptitude Test Section 1:
A paragraph is provided for comprehension.
Ten questions are based upon the paragraph.
3 questions are for antonyms and synonyms each.
Then a paragraph is provided and Fill in the blanks type questions are asked. We have to fill the answers from the four options given.
5 questions about ordering sentences in a paragraph.
5 sentences are given. We have to find out the correct sequence of the sentences.
The questions asked are like “Which is the 3rd, 4th sentence”
10 questions are about sentence improvement.
A part of the sentence is bold. We need to find a better option among the four choices provided.
Another 10 questions are about finding errors in a sentence.
We have to tell which part of the sentence has an error. Again it is multiple choice type.
The English section is not difficult. Only a little bit of practise is required.

Quantitative Aptitude:
The various types of questions in this section are:
10 questions from compound interest.
10 from simplification.
15 from data interpretation.
15 from tables. (3 tables & 5 questions in each table)
5 questions of series completion type.
1 question each from square root & trains.
5 questions from probability.
Written Test Section 3:
Logical Reasoning:
10 Puzzles (seating arrangement, etc.)
Statements and Conclusions- 5 questions. (french is english, english is spanish, etc.)

5 questions from Data sufficiency :
5 question of Blood relations type
New model questions (7 Qs)
Coding & Decoding (7 Qs)
Number Series (2 Qs)
So this is the full aptitude written test paper of 3i infotech. This was a paid exam still there were many candidates. The exam was not difficult but there was shortage of time. Time management is important in such type of exams. Negative marking is not a lot. We can take fair risk in answering the questions.
