Fine, But Why Will the Governments Hide Anything from Us?
We really hope they are not doing so. But there can be many reasons why they will hide anything from us. Assume that the government tells us that a certain disaster is coming. What will happen? The stock markets will crash worldwide. Companies will be doomed well before the actual doomsday. The share prices will witness the biggest falls. All businesses will be down and the economy will have negative growth. There will be fewer jobs and the unemployment rate will be very very high. So there will be more crime. Thus, if the government tells us about any such truth, we will die sooner than the doomsday and it will actually make our lives worse!!
But We Deserve to Know the Truth:
There can be various reasons for the end of the world on December 12, 2012.
Various natural phenomenon like Floods, earthquakes, famines and droughts are increasing and becoming more unpredictable.

There are references in religious books where they mention a ten million strong army which will be the reason for the end of world. China suits this very well as it has a very strong army and it has eyes on countries like Taiwan, Tibet and is even tightening its control over Hong Kong. It is also running into disputes with India and has disputes with Japan, Vietnam and others for control of oil deposits in oceans. Also, it has a non democratic set up where freedom of speech and expression is not there.
So Can it be the end of the world on December 21, 2012 ? Well, who knows!

What if terrorists were to get hold of Nuclear Weapons in unstable countries like Pakistan? Well, such concerns have been expressed by various Powerful nation in EU & by US. While this claim is disputed by Pakistan and is said to be highly unlikely.
