Selecting your MCSA certification can be said as the excellent solution for increasing your credibility while you look for a job. Totally there are four examinations required for certifying the MCSA certification. Compared with the other certification examinations, MCSA certification will be easy to study and score minimum score of marks. MCSA security specialization examination requires a total of 5 examinations. These 5 examinations are mixed up with mandatory examinations as well as one elective examination. Elective examinations can be selected by the candidates at the time of writing the elective exam. Like Cisco certification, there is no expiry date and validity date for the certifications offered from Microsoft. All mandatory examinations have its maximum marks of 1000 and the candidates have to score at least 700 marks in all mandatory subjects for passing on the paper. This does not mean that the candidates have scored 70 percentages of marks by scoring 700 marks. Microsoft has scaled each paper to its own percentages of mark.

Other general information to candidates regarding the certification exam:
The following are the other general information’s to the candidates regarding the certification examination and they are:

1) Each exam costs 125 USD and it does not include taxes, discounts etc.
2) Candidates can take up the examinations in any order within the year. There is no compulsion in examinations order to the candidates.
3) If a candidate is taking up the certification examinations for the first time and fails then retakes are possible within 24 hours time.
4) After the second attempt, candidates have to wait for 14 days for the next subsequent retakes.
5) A maximum of 5 attempts are possible within the year.
