You can surprise your friends by this simple trick by which you can remove / delete temporarily the Shutdown option in the “Turn off your computer”

Here is the registry hack to remove the shut down option / button in Windows.

Click Start and select run.
Then type Regedit and press enter
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
There set the value as follows and the shutdown option / icon will be hidden.

“NoClose”=”DWORD:1″

Then you can unhide the shutdown icon / show it back by either restoring your registry or by making that value as it was before. Write it down somewhere and take care.
