Bacon. That is correct. Bacon. I want to write about bacon. Specifically I want to write about a kind of bacon that the supermarkets are not putting inside the freezer or refrigerated compartments. Wow! They are keeping bacon on the shelf. And it is a bacon that you can just microwave and still have a good-tasting bacon.
How long has this been happening? Well, most recently , I was in the supermarket and right near the refrigerated meat, but not in the refrigerator, I saw a sign that said there was a special sale on bacon and it was this interesting kind of bacon that was not refrigerated. Just what I had been waiting for, a bacon that does not need to be fried, although I guess if you want to do that you can. You can pretty much fry almost anything these days. But for this bacon, frying is not a necessity. It seems to be previously-cooked bacon, so that you are actually just reheating the bacon. So what do you think of this bacon or this concept of having meat that does not have to be fried, yet it tastes very good?
So, just what is so good about this bacon? Well, cooking time –there is none. Just open the box and just slip the bacon on a paper plate and microwave it for a bit. You can have a nice-cooked bacon without the hassle of cooking it in the oven or in the fry pan. This cuts breakfast time in half, and that is especially good for those running out to school or work or to volunteer jobs. So what is your opinion about quick bacon? Try it this week and let me know what you think.
